Western societies are ageing fast and citizen birth rates have been low for a long time. The vaunted baby boomer generation is retiring. Shortages of young well trained professionals are reported almost daily.
What are the choices for Western businesses:
- Establish or buy companies abroad
- Employ more robots and automate processes. Resort to beyond border remote work whenever possible
- Hire more Africans, Indians, Pakistanis, other Asians or Latin Americans etc. without upsetting the domestic labor force and population?
However, any Western business leaders who promote this approach for this purpose might be wrong and foolish as it may backfire! Appeasement of radicals usually does not work well.
There got to be better ways to accomplish hiring talent from around the world not only for top company positions.
