Es sei auch noch mal daran erinnert, dass Covid-19 keine wirklich gefährliche Krankheit ist für mindestens 80-95% der Menschen. Sie ist vergleichbar mit einer schweren Erkältung oder Grippe.

About 44% of world population was infected with Covid-19 at least once. Over 11 billion vaccination doses have been administered! Thus, herd immunity (at about 67% of world population has been achieved!

"Global daily SARS-CoV-2 infections fluctuated between 3 million and 17 million new infections per day between April, 2020, and October, 2021, peaking in mid-April, 2021, primarily as a result of surges in India. Between the start of the pandemic and Nov 14, 2021, there were an estimated 3·80 billion (95% uncertainty interval 3·44–4·08) total SARS-CoV-2 infections and reinfections combined, and an estimated 3·39 billion (3·08–3·63) individuals, or 43·9% (39·9–46·9) of the global population, had been infected one or more times. 1·34 billion (1·20–1·49) of these infections occurred in south Asia, the highest among the seven super-regions, although the sub-Saharan Africa super-region had the highest infection rate (79·3 per 100 population [69·0–86·4]). The high-income super-region had the fewest infections (239 million [226–252]), and southeast Asia, east Asia, and Oceania had the lowest infection rate (13·0 per 100 population [8·4–17·7]). The cumulative proportion of the population ever infected varied greatly between countries and territories, with rates higher than 70% in 40 countries and lower than 20% in 39 countries. There was no discernible relationship between Reffective and total immunity, and even at total immunity levels of 80%, we observed no indication of an abrupt drop in Reffective, indicating that there is not a clear herd immunity threshold observed in the data."

Denmark to scrap all coronavirus restrictions as it declares COVID-19 ‘under control’

Good news! Bravo Danes! Way to go! Like the Swedes, the Danes are far more rational in dealing with this fairly harmless SARS-CoV-2/Covid-19 pandemic than most other Western countries where hysteria and alarmism ruled!

Denmark with 71% of the Danish population fully vaccinated has reached herd immunity. The U.S. and Germany also reached herd immunity some time ago.

"... Denmark did not have many measures left in place anyway—just a requirement for visitors to restaurants, bars, cinemas, and some other indoor facilities to prove vaccination, recovery, or lack of infection. It started phasing out mask mandates in June. ...
Over 71% of the Danish population is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The country's seven-day incidence rate—representing known infections per 100,000 people over the last week—is currently 113, compared with 333 in the U.S., 355 in the U.K., and 77 in Germany. The country is reporting fewer than 1,000 new cases each day, and losing at most a few people each day to COVID-19."

Diese Corona-Maßnahmen haben Bund und Länder beschlossen

Der Impfperialismus geht um in der Bananenrepublik Deutschland unter der Regie von SED Kanzlerin Merkel! Zum Klimawahn gesellt sich mehr Irrationalität! Nur zur Erinnerung: In der Bananenrepublik sind inzwischen über 92 Millionen Impfungen verabreicht worden. Was wohl bedeutet, das mindestens über 50% der Bevölkerung per Impfung voll immunisiert sind. Der Anteil unter der erwachsenen Bevölkerung liegt also weit höher, vielleicht bei deutlich über 60%. Man darf weiter annehmen, das insbesondere die gefährdete ältere Bevölkerung weit über 50% voll geimpft wurde, vielleicht sogar über 80%! Dazu kommen noch etwa 4 Millionen Bürger, die genesen und daher natürlich immunisiert sind. Kurzum: Deutschland hat quasi Herdenimmunität erreicht (> 67% oder >75% für die anfällige Bevölkerung)! Z.B. die USA hat die Herdenimmunität ebenfalls vor einigen Wochen erreicht.

Diese Corona-Maßnahmen haben Bund und Länder beschlossen (behind paywall) Ab einer Inzidenz von 35 soll es künftig eine Testpflicht für Ungeimpfte geben, beschließen Bund und Länder. Bayerns Ministerpräsident Söder hätte gerne noch schärfere Regeln gesehen. Er warnt vor einer „Pandemie der Ungeimpften“.

I blogged on 7/29/2021 that the U.S. most likely reached herd immunity recently!

Here is the full abstract of the research paper:

"Ending the COVID-19 pandemic will require long-lived immunity to SARS-CoV-2. Here, we evaluate 254 COVID-19 patients longitudinally up to 8 months and find durable broad-based immune responses. SARS-CoV-2 spike binding and neutralizing antibodies exhibit a bi-phasic decay with an extended half-life of >200 days suggesting the generation of longer-lived plasma cells. SARS-CoV-2 infection also boosts antibody titers to SARS-CoV-1 and common betacoronaviruses. In addition, spike-specific IgG+ memory B cells persist, which bodes well for a rapid antibody response upon virus re-exposure or vaccination. Virus-specific CD4+ and CD8+ T cells are polyfunctional and maintained with an estimated half-life of 200 days. Interestingly, CD4+ T cell responses equally target several SARS-CoV-2 proteins, whereas the CD8+ T cell responses preferentially target the nucleoprotein, highlighting the potential importance of including the nucleoprotein in future vaccines. Taken together, these results suggest that broad and effective immunity may persist long-term in recovered COVID-19 patients."

Most Recovered COVID-19 Patients Have Broad, Robust Immunity That Likely Provides Some Protection Against Variants: Study (behind paywall) Most people who have recovered from COVID-19, even with mild illness, retain a broad and durable immunity to the disease, including some degree of protection against its variants, according to an Emory University study published in the journal, Cell Reports Medicine.

Has herd immunity been attained in the U.S.? Most likely!

As of today, over 60% of the entire U.S. adult population are fully vaccinated. For the population ≥ 65 years of Age it is almost 80%. (Source)

You add to that over 30 Million cases of recovered individuals, who acquired natural immunity. (Source) Unfortunately, I am not aware of a statistics that shows how many recovered individuals were vaccinated after infection. Thus, ruling out any significant overlap between these groups, then another roughly 14% of the adult population of the U.S. are naturally immunized. It is also very disturbing that in the daily discourse about the pandemic, the large population of recovered individuals is typically omitted or ignored!

Hence, adding up the fully vaccinated adult population and the naturally immunized adult population yields a total of roughly 75% of the adult population of the U.S. are protected from Covid-19! In my humble view, this represents herd immunity! One can probably safely assume herd immunity is achieved if at least 67% (2/3) to 75% (3/4) of the population are protected. Such a level of protection ought to slow down the infection rate of the virus. Perhaps, only the highest paid employee in the federal government, i.e. the 80 year old clown Anthony Fauci, would disagree with me.

Given these facts, it is totally absurd that We The People are still inundated on a daily basis with phony mask, vaccination passport or workplace vaccination requirements etc.

Let's return to normal life again ASAP! We The People have suffered enough scaremongering and hysteria and from incompetent elected politicians!
