Cultural Resistance: Visualizing a Nuclear-Free World - Goethe-Institut USA

Such naive and unrealistic nonsense is paid for by German taxpayers!

To advocate an end to nuclear weapons, however unrealistic this maybe, is one thing to end nuclear power is something very different! To suggest some kind of equivalence between peaceful use of nuclear power and nuclear weapons is demagoguery!

The apocalyptic belief in "nuclear peril" is outrageous being promoted by the German government!

"How do we advocate for an end to nuclear power and nuclear weapons?
Beyond research papers and speeches, articles and fact sheets, and protests on the streets, can a painter, a fashion designer, and a creative performance director convey the same urgency about our nuclear peril?"

Goethe Institut: One Million Roses for Angela Davis

Unglaublich! Das Goethe Institut feiert eine hardcore Feministin, Marxistin und Stalinistin!

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe hätte sich das wohl nicht träumen lassen!

"In 1970, guns belonging to Davis were used in an armed takeover of a courtroom in Marin County, California, in which four people were killed. Prosecuted for three capital felonies, including conspiracy to murder, she was held in jail for over a year before being acquitted of all charges in 1972."

"In the framework of One Million Roses for Angela Davis - U.S. Edition, we are happy to partner up with WPFW/Pacifica Radio in Washington D.C. and WBAI Radio NYC to present a talk with the curator Kathleen Reinhardt, artist Sadie Barnette, and Dr. Greg Carr, Associate Professor of Africana Studies and Chair of the Department of Afro-American Studies at Howard University, followed by a listening session with Steffani Jemison and Justin Hicks (Mikrokosmos). This talk and listening session are part of a day-long sonic celebration called Liberated Mind: A Lovesong for Angela Davis, airing from noon to midnight. ..."

"Few East Germans over the age of fifty fail to remember [WHAT?] the state-organized solidarity campaign calling for the release of the US philosopher, communist and Black Power activist Angela Davis. “A million roses for Angela” was the motto of a postcard campaign in 1970-72 in support of Davis, who at the time was being held under terrorism charges.
The large-scale campaign firmly anchored the activist within the cultural memory of the [former???] GDR [German Democratic Republic], which — in this critical phase of the Cold War — sought to position itself by asserting its commitment to the comrade. In the GDR, the media spun Davis as the “heroine of the other America” and after her acquittal she was welcomed as a state guest. ..."

Radikale Veranstaltungen des Goethe-Institut

Weiss der deutsche Steuerzahler was sein/ihr Geld bezahlt? In der Bananenrepublik Deutschland unter SED Kanzlerin Merkel!

Virtual Screenings & Discussion: Cultural Resistance: Standing Up to Nuclear Power Through the Arts - Goethe-Institut USA
The series will showcase different examples of both mass protest and deeply personal resistance. This series explores how the performing and visual arts, including film, music, theatre, fashion and painting — along with protest and resistance — can make a powerful statement of opposition to nuclear power and propel action against climate change.

Discussion: Radical Diversity: New York - Goethe-Institut USA Right-wing extremism, everyday racism and racialized microaggressions, and pressure to “assimilate” – all of these constructs affecting racialized minorities result from an inability and unwillingness to respect and appreciate the radical diversity that underscores our societies.

Goethe-Institut: Angela Davis Reading Group

Incredible! My hometown man Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is spinning in his grave! The SED Chancellor Merkel promotes a Marxist and communist ideologue with German tax payers' money! How ironic, from Angela Merkel to Angela Davis!

Reading Group: Angela Davis Reading Group - Goethe-Institut USA Fifty years after she published her first book, If they Come in the Morning: Voice of Resistance, Angela Davis remains one of the most influential writers [???] on culture, gender, capitalism, race, and justice.

Government Funded German Goethe Institute Spreads Feminism And Other Leftist Propaganda

Posted: 12/6/2018

I am a longtime subscriber to the weekly Goethe Institute e-mail newsletter. For at least 12-24 months, I have been noticing that these newsletters quite often spread hard leftist propaganda in form of articles, events etc.

I am afraid this is unbeknownst to many taxpayers in Germany! If you are not very familiar with this institute check out e.g. the Wikipedia article

I am afraid this leftist ideology and propaganda is thus effectively spread to 159 institute locations worldwide in almost as many  countries.

Today’s (12/6/2018) newsletter was in particular shocking. It contained following items:
  1. ONGOING EXHIBITION | NOV 2018 - FEB 2019 #FeminismToMe INSTAGRAM EXHIBIT: ARE YOU IN?
Our interactive #FeminismToMe Instagram Exhibit is an ongoing project ... Stop by and check out … about ... personal relationship to and thoughts on modern-day feminism … While you’re visiting, be sure to “like” and “comment” on our posts in person …  don't forget to share your own post under the hashtag on Instagram to help the gallery grow!”
  2. “TALK & WORKSHOP | THURSDAY, JANUARY 17, 6:00 PM #FeminismToMe: IN IT TO KNIT IT - FIBER ARTS AND FEMINISM The Goethe-Institut Washington and the D.C. Public Library will host a conversation and hands-on workshop that explores the intersections of knitting and feminism – especially in an age of digital media and widespread activism.  ... will discuss the personal and broader power of knitting. All participants will have the opportunity to knit a small item – a pouch or a yarn tag – that can be utilized for the Women’s March on January 19, 2019. Yarn and knitting needles will be provided, ...”

How do you like Johann Wolfgang Goethe wearing a vulva cap (a.k.a. pussy hat)? (This was also included in same newsletter)
