I do not know all the details about this new agreement, but something seems to smell fishy based on the reporting below! 

As much as one desires such a beneficial maritime border agreement between Israel and Lebanon, prudence ought to be applied. As usual, the stakes in the Middle East are high.

Did the commitments of the U.S. as the guarantor of this agreement go to far? Does the demented and senile 46th President even understand what this agreement is about?

Was Israeli Prime Minister Lapid perhaps too eager to reach such an agreement?

The Likely Libanon-Israel Peace Over Natural Gas

The maritime border conflict between Lebanon and Israeli will most likely be resolved amicably! I do not know the details of this conflict over the natural gas resources (U.S. Energy Information Administration country report), but I bet they will easily find a comprise if both countries are willing.

Israel can easily offer Lebanon financial and technological assistance to help Lebanon to exploit its share of natural gas deposits and so on.

This will be another milestone in ending of the several decades old, what seemed intractable Arab-Israeli conflict. Peace at last in the Middle East thanks to President Trump pursuing the Abraham Accords and Sudan-Israel normalization!
