India emphasises economic self reliance policies triggered by Covid-19

Is the Indian prime minister Modi going to promote more economic self reliance and autarky of the Indian economy in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic? This would not be good for free trade! I believe, since becoming independent, India has tried more than enough to be economic self reliant!
