John Stossel: Leaker Edward Snowden: Traitor or Hero?

John Stossel disappointed and failed tremendously! This was a glorifying softball interview with Snowden.

Traitor Edward Snowden dumped tons of classified documents that went far beyond those that showed spying on U.S. citizens by U.S. government agencies. Had Snowden only disclosed documents regarding the this spying on U.S. citizens to reveal that high ranking members of the U.S. government lied about this to the U.S. Congress, he would have been considered a whistleblower. However, Stossel failed to ask relevant questions.

"The exact size of Snowden's disclosure is unknown,[105] but Australian officials have estimated 15,000 or more Australian intelligence files[106] and British officials estimate at least 58,000 British intelligence files were included.[107] NSA Director Keith Alexander initially estimated that Snowden had copied anywhere from 50,000 to 200,000 NSA documents.[108] Later estimates provided by U.S. officials were in the order of 1.7 million,[109] a number that originally came from Department of Defense talking points.[110] In July 2014, The Washington Post reported on a cache previously provided by Snowden from domestic NSA operations consisting of "roughly 160,000 intercepted e-mail and instant-message conversations, some of them hundreds of pages long, and 7,900 documents taken from more than 11,000 online accounts."[111] A U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency report declassified in June 2015 said that Snowden took 900,000 Department of Defense files, more than he downloaded from the NSA.[110]"

Finally Some Legal Action Against Snowden

Posted: 9/21/2019

The Trump Administration has to be applauded and praised for taking action against this arrogant, fugitive, dangerous and irresponsible traitor Edward Snowden. It is about time that something is done!

“Exiled former CIA employee and NSA contractor Edward Snowden has been hit with a civil lawsuit from the Justice Department over the publication of his new book, titled, "Permanent Record," and the feds want to seize all the money the notorious [traitor]'s memoir rakes in.” (S1; emphasis added)

If you need one proof that Putin the Terrible is what he is then it is his government granting asylum (whether officially or de facto) to this traitor. Had Snowden been a traitor of Russian secrets, he would be long dead!

The KGB And Its Successor Continue To Manipulate The West

Trigger

The past several days or weeks have seen stunning revelations of disclosed private phone conversations between leading politicians of the West. I hope I will be able to add source references later.

In context of the Crimean crisis the biggest winner of some of these recent leaks of telephone conversations would be Russia.

Why Is The West So Blind To The KGB?

Is this perhaps one of the best KGB operations of all times to be able to disinform the citizens in the West for decades about the activities of their own intelligence services while the KGB is able to maintain a low profile in the West?

Why do citizens of the West know so much more about alleged abuses committed by  the CIA, while we know so little about the KGB? Is the KGB morally superior or simply inept or what?

Edward Snowden

Perhaps one day we will learn whether he himself or his associates were KGB agents. I would not be surprised.

Getting Tired Of Snowden's NSA Leaks

How Naive Is Mr. Edward Snowden?

Espionage is perhaps the oldest profession on earth apart from prostitution.

Humans are innately curious. Who can say with a straight face he/she has never spied on anything or anybody?

Every country is spying all the time, in the past, present, and into the future. Mutually allied countries spy on each other. This is referred to as trust but verify enemies as well as allies.

Insanity Of Suspicion

It is insane to suggest or believe that the spy agency of any constitutional, democratic country of the free world would be spying on everything or anything all of its citizens are doing 24 hours a day.

Latest Leak - Online Gaming

Of course, any good spy agency would explore this new world out there for its purposes.

There is really no surprise here that the NSA spied on World of Warcraft or Second Life!

Police officers play too to find e.g. potential child molesters or child pornographers.

Who Wants To Be The Next Victim Of A Terrorist Attack?

Limited Government - Not Big Brother

Having grown up in Germany in the immediate post World War II period I sure do not like any totalitarian states or any comprehensive government surveillance of its citizens. My blog post is my creed!

Abstract Principles Do Not Trump
The Killing Of Humans By Fanatics

Does anyone of those individuals who feverishly hail Mr. Edward Snowden as some kind of a hero want to be the next victim of a mindless, future terrorist attack? Those individuals count on the low probability that they themselves will be the next victim. This is an egoistic and inhumane attitude. Nobody deserves to die because of a fanatic.

We know at least since Voltaire that you cannot argue with a fanatic. This is perhaps a harsh observation. It may not apply to every fanatic, but it is generally not very far off from the truth. However, terrorists who intend to kill or kill themselves to kill as many other innocent humans as possible are fanatics.

Self-Defense Against Homicidal Fanatics Is
An Utmost Basic Government Function

These fanatics would probably not hesitate to use the deadliest weapons they can possibly get hold off. How about some kind of a very contagious and deadly disease created by a terrorist at his home using off the shelf equipment? Therefore, it is a primary, genuine duty of a democratically elected government to protect its citizens from such fanatics. The ultimate responsibility of each citizen and our elected representatives is to make sure that sufficient safeguards are put in place.

Non-Violence Principle

This fundamental principle of civilized society cannot be repeated enough:
1.       Violence is only to be used as a self-defense against attacks on your person or your family to prevent imminent harm

2.       If you have grievances against government or any other institution etc. you have to resort to non-violent means first and be patient for a long time.
