The Trump administration covertly sent roughly 6,000 Starlink terminals into Iran after the regime’s crackdown on demonstrations last month

Bravo President Trump and Elon Musk! Good news! A force for good!

Will the Iranian people finally get rid of this theocratic dictatorship ruling this country since 1979! Mullahs be gone!

"The satellite-internet kits were an effort to keep dissidents online after Tehran stifled internet access. This was the first time the U.S. has directly sent Starlink into Iran. The State Department purchased nearly 7,000 Starlink terminals by diverting funds from other internet-freedom initiatives. Tehran has repeatedly accused the U.S., without evidence, of helping to foment popular dissent and organizing the demonstrations. Iranians were protesting economic mismanagement, a weakening currency and hard-line rule."

Iran on the Brink, Streets Burn, Pressure Mounts: Protests Rage as U.S. Signals Readiness to Act

Hope and pray for the Iranian people to overthrow the theocratic dictatorship and warmongers since 1979!

Elon Musk makes Starlink available to Iranian protesters for free

Good news! Bravo!

"Despite a communications blackout, Iranian dissidents were able to share footage of state violence online using thousands of illegal Starlink terminals. ..."

"Summary
  • Iran shutdown poses test for Starlink as US military, investors look on
  • Protesters used Starlink to send videos, images of violence
  • SpaceX makes Starlink free for Iranians amid internet blackouts
  • Iran uses jammers and fake GPS to disrupt Starlink signals
..."

"... Using thousands of Starlink satellite internet systems that they had quietly smuggled into the country, they got online and spread images of troops firing into the streets and families searching for bodies.

Their actions, described by digital rights researchers and others, forced Iran’s government to respond. The authorities deployed military-grade electronic weaponry designed to disrupt the GPS signals that Starlink equipment needs to function, a step that activists and civil society groups said was rarely taken outside battlefields …"

"... Since 2022, activists and civil society groups have worked on sneaking Starlink terminals into the country, aided by a U.S. government sanctions exemption for Starlink and American companies to offer communication tools in Iran. About 50,000 of the terminals are now in Iran, according to digital activists, in defiance of an Iranian law passed last year that bans the systems, and rules prohibiting unlicensed services. ..."

Iran’s leading resistance fighter Maryam Rajavi answers six key questions about future of her country

Very recommendable! Hope and pray for the Iranian people to finally get rid of the theocratic dictatorship!

"... How do these uprisings differ from those in 2019 and 2022?
According to Rajavi, this current uprising displays a dramatic increase in organization, focuses on dismantling centers of repression, and has expanded nationwide across Iran's largest cities and smallest towns, involving all 31 provinces and at least 207 cities.

Rajavi told Just the News, "Unlike the 2022 uprising, which was sparked by the regime’s killing of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini and initially revolved around the issue of compulsory hijab, and unlike the November 2019 uprising, which was triggered by the shock of gasoline price hikes, today’s uprising is not tied to a single incident or a specific, short-term demand. This movement is the product of a long accumulation of anger, political awareness, and collective will for regime change. It is therefore not a transient explosion, but a conscious movement with an explicitly overthrow-oriented character." ...

The primary organized resistance is the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK) and its Resistance Units, a movement with six decades of uninterrupted struggle against both the Shah's dictatorship and the current regime.

According to Rajavi, the atrocities against MEK are devastating. "More than 100,000 of its members and supporters have been executed or killed under torture, including 30,000 political prisoners hanged in the 1988 massacre solely for remaining loyal to the MEK. ...

If and when an overthrow happens, how long will it take to restore order, and how will the process unfold?
"With a deeply rooted, organized, and nationwide resistance inside the country and a recognized democratic alternative, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), the transfer of sovereignty from dictatorship to the people can take place in an orderly, peaceful, democratic, and law-based manner. What makes this transition possible is not merely the fall of the regime, but the existence of a ready political and executive framework for “the day after,” and that is precisely what the NCRI has prepared for years." ...

The NCRI’s vision includes complete gender equality, separation of religion and state, autonomy for Iranian Kurdistan, judicial independence, and freedom of parties—principles outlined in the Ten-point Plan for a Free Iran presented more than two decades ago. ...

Given Iran's dynamic and freedom-loving culture of the 1970s, will Iranians naturally return to that after the regime falls, or have decades of repression made that difficult?
"Iran possesses a rich, millennia-old culture that both monarchical and religious dictatorships have tried to deform and destroy. That is why the Iranian people reject both systems. The overthrow of this regime will therefore herald a cultural, social, and political renaissance—most notably a devastating blow to Islamic fundamentalism, for which this regime has been the global epicenter. Women will play a central role in this transformation and are its primary driving force." ..."

President Trump said Iran had stopped killing and executing protesters

Apparently, President Trump is giving diplomacy another chance before he follows up on his threats.

"Speaking at the White House, Trump told reporters, “We’ve been told that killing in Iran is stopping—it has stopped.” He said that he hoped what officials had been told was true. Trump has been considering military strikes on Iran in recent days amid reports of protester killings and possible executions. Asked if military action is off the table, he said the U.S. would watch to see what happens. Earlier today, the U.S. military said it was evacuating some personnel from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar as a precaution."

Elon Musk activates Starlink in Iran as government cuts internet off

Good news! Bravo! The first videos coming out of Iran via Starlink showing protests! Elon Musk used Farsi to respond to the Supreme Leader of Iran telling him he is wishful thinking!

According to Google search: "Yes, Elon Musk used Farsi (Persian) on X (formerly Twitter) in early January 2026, posting the phrase "زهی خیال باطل" ("Zahi khayal-e batal") in response to Iran's Supreme Leader, meaning "What an illusion!" or "In your dreams," which quickly became a viral slogan used by Iranian protestors against the regime."

Iran security forces have killed at least 490 people as opposition protests continue

Hope and pray for the Iranian people to finally shake off their theocratic dictatorship in power since 1979!

Is President Trump already fuming? Will his wrath come down soon on the Supreme Leader and the other ayatollahs in Iran? Like Maduro did Khamenei not get the warning?

"... About 10,600 people have been detained over the two weeks of protests, according to the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency, which has been accurate in previous cases of unrest in Iran in recent years. The organization said of those killed, 490 were protesters and 48 were members of security forces. ..."

Will Elon Musk make Starlink available to the protesting citizens of Iran?

According to Google search: "Yes, recent reports from early January 2026 indicate Elon Musk has enabled Starlink for Iranians, bypassing government jamming during internet blackouts to support anti-government protests, a move reportedly influenced by Israeli officials and providing free, uncensored access despite Iranian warnings against it."

'We are locked and loaded': Trump threatens to attack Iran regime if peaceful protesters harmed or killed

Very serious stuff! A severe escalation! Even if this is only a bluff to encourage and support the protesters and peaceful protests in Iran to continue!

According to Google search: "Over the last five years, human rights organizations estimate that more than 2,000 Iranian protesters were killed by state security forces across two major nationwide crackdowns. The vast majority of these deaths occurred during the November 2019 protests and the "Woman, Life, Freedom" protests in 2022-2023."

The Leader of the Free World is leading! Bravo! Will other Western countries join President Trump? Hopefully yes!

How will the usual bad actors like Russia and China or even North Korea respond?

What does President Trump know about the current situation and the overall condition of the Iranian theocracy that we don't? Is the Iranian dictatorship about to collapse after more than 46 years in power?

As of this writing, both Google search and Bing search failed to retrieve the original Truth Social post by President Trump! Very bad!

Protests in Iran continued on the fourth day to expand geographically across Iran on December 31, 2025

Serious stuff! Hope and pray, the Iranian people will finally get rid of their theocratic dictatorship!

The Middle East and the world would be a much better place without the militaristic, belligerent theocracy and dictatorship in Iran in power since 1979! When will the Iranian people finally get rid of being governed by an authoritarian regime since 1941.

"Small protests broke out in Tehran on December 28 and have since spread to 17 out of Iran’s 31 provinces. Protests spread to Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Ilam, Khuzestan, Khorasan Razavi, and Lorestan provinces on December 31. ... recorded a total of 31 protests in Iran on December 31, compared to 24 protests on December 30. The protests took place across 12 provinces, including the five mentioned above.

Iranian security forces shot live fire to disperse protesters in at least two instances on December 31, as protests continued across Iran for the fourth consecutive day. Security forces fired live ammunition at crowds of protesters in Fasa, Fars Province, and Kuhdasht, Lorestan Province, on December 31. The regime appears to be using live fire to suppress protests in less populated areas of Iran. The regime has historically struggled to impose control in more rural areas.

The regime also deployed water cannons in an attempt to suppress protests on December 31. Security forces used a water cannon against protesters in Hamedan. The weather in Hamedan is currently two degrees below zero degrees Celsius. Security forces also reportedly used a water cannon against protesters in Arak, Markazi Province. The regime’s use of water cannons against protesters comes amid Iran’s unprecedented water shortage crisis. The regime’s deployment of water as a tool to suppress protests amid Iran’s water crisis highlights the regime’s prioritization of its security and survival.

The regime also continued to arrest protesters on December 31. ..."

Congress of Iran’s freedom fighters in the US

Good news! When will Iran become a free democracy at last?

In the 1970s, I have witnessed protests in my hometown Frankfurt am Main of Iranian immigrants/dissidents against the regime of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (1919-1980). Sometimes, the struggle for freedom takes several decades.

"... Last weekend, I saw real resistance up close. More than 1,000 Iranian dissidents gathered in Washington, D.C., for the Free Iran Convention to plan for a future free from the mullahs’ rule. Panels featuring scholars, women, young activists, and even voices from inside Iran painted a picture of a regime on the brink. ...

The cost has been staggering. Since 1981, the regime has killed more than 100,000 PMOI/MEK (People’s Mojahedin Organization) members. Countless others have been imprisoned, tortured, or targeted in state-funded smear campaigns.

The idea of negotiating with the Iranian regime belongs to the realm of fantasy. No meaningful difference separates so-called hard-liners from so-called moderates. Both factions produce economic ruin at home and terrorism abroad. Young Iranians see the truth plainly. ..."
