6 Iranian men About to be Executed Sing a Message to the World About the Deadly Regime

If confirmed, this is amazing news! How was this leaked?

FrontPage magazine did a very lousy job to present this story! E.g. the original news article was not mentioned, most of the salient details not mentioned!

Caveat: I did not listen to the song (song appears to be in Farsi language).

"Smuggled video from inside an infamous Iranian prison captured the moment six dissidents broke into song to defy the Islamic regime one last time before they were hanged.

The six men, all executed for their alleged actions against the regime, were seen standing in a courtyard at the notorious Ghezel Hesar prison as they made their final stand with a song of resistance, The Sunday Times reported.

“Your rival stands before you now, hardened in the flame — I am the faith, I am revolt, with belief I take my stand — I’ve sworn an oath upon my blood, the tyrant’s throne shall shatter,” the men calmly sung. ...

Ghobadi, 33, was confirmed to be executed on March 31 after he was allegedly tortured by the regime, which accused him of armed rebellion against the state, according to Amnesty International.

Baniamerian, 33, who was accused of the same crime, was featured in another smuggled video in a direct address to then Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“To the Supreme Leader who wants to execute us to create fear in society. I want to remind you that I and those like me rose from the blood of freedom-loving youth,” he said before being executed on April 4.

Baniamerian and his fellow death row inmates also penned a manifesto calling on others to follow their path of resistance against the Islamic regime in order to free Iran in the future.

“So if fate decrees that you execute us hundreds of thousands of times again, in the hope of the victory of a democratic republic and the freedom and flourishing of this captive homeland, we will stand firm in our rebellious position,” their note read.

All six men were accused of being members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the country’s main opposition movement. ..."

The six political prisoners were identified as (from left) Vahid Baniamerian, Babak Alipour, Abolhassan Montazer, Pouya Ghobadi, Akbar Daneshvarkar and Mohammad Taghavi.

China extended the prison sentence of Covid whistleblower and journalist Zhang Zhan for another four years in prison

That is how the Communist Party of China does things with dissidents!

What a brave lady! Hope and pray for her!

"China extended the prison sentence of Covid whistleblower Zhang Zhan for another four years in prison for “picking quarrels and provoking trouble,” according to Reporters sans Frontières. ..."

"... On 28 August 2024, Zhang Zhan was detained, and later formally arrested and placed in Shanghai’s Pudong Detention Centre following her reporting on human rights abuses by the Chinese regime. For the past year, the journalist has been cut off from the outside world, and almost all information about her whereabouts has been kept secret to prevent the international community from taking action against the appalling conditions in which she is being held.

Imprisoned for reporting on COVID-19

Zhang was first arrested on 14 May 2020, while covering the early stages of the Covid-19 outbreak in the city of Wuhan. She had posted more than 100 videos on social media documenting the effects of the pandemic before her arrest, and seven months later she was sentenced to four years in prison. Throughout her first imprisonment, RSF campaigned for her release and warned about the mistreatment she was subjected to in prison. During her early months of detention, Zhang Zhan nearly died after going on a total hunger strike to protest her mistreatment. Prison officials forcibly fed her through a nasal tube and sometimes left her handcuffed for days. ..."

Now, she is about to be tried in the city of Shanghai, after being re-arrested for a new bogus offence one year ago, according to  Reporters Without Borders (RSF) information. RSF urges the international diplomatic community to immediately mobilise to ensure her safety and demand her release from prison."

Freed Belarus opposition figure Sergei Tikhanovsky speaks out after five years of solitary confinement in prison

What a horror story!

The cell was described as three square meters, no bed, a hole in the floor as a toilet and no other prisoners around or anywhere near him. How do you define cruelty?

"Sergei Tikhanovsky was held in solitary confinement in a high security Belarusian prison for five years after he dared to stand up to a dictator.

The former opposition blogger is now in enforced exile, freed along with 13 other political prisoners after a senior US delegation paid a rare visit to the authoritarian ruler of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

He spoke to the BBC’s Sarah Rainsford about how the last five years have been and reuniting with his family."

Countering China's U.S. Spy Network and sabotage of critical infrastructure capabilities and harass dissident emigres

Concerning!

"In recent years, China has been amassing a deep bench of sources and contacts to grow its network of spies in the United States. “It's a numbers game,” ... “and China has the advantage.” What's more, these spies might be developing the skills to physically sabotage critical infrastructure should a U.S.-China conflict break out. That's why U.S. counterintelligence efforts must remain vigilant. Any sign that Washington is stepping back, ... “could embolden Beijing to become more aggressive with its operations on American soil.”"

"For decades, China's cyber espionage centered on stealing intellectual property from the United States to bolster its own military and economy. But as its hackers grew more proficient at penetrating sensitive U.S. systems, these efforts moved beyond theft to positioning themselves to physically disrupt critical infrastructure. Last year, U.S. officials all but admitted defeat in halting China's growing cyber arsenal when it revealed a series of hacks that left Beijing poised to disable ports, power grids, and other critical systems around the country. ...

In recent years China's U.S. spy network expanded its activities to more aggressively target dissidents within the diaspora. U.S. residents have been stalked, harassed, assaulted, and had their property damaged in retaliation for speaking out against Beijing. ..."

Communist Party of China Issues Bounties for More Exiled Hong Kong Dissidents

When will the Chinese people finally get rid of their communist dictatorship ruling their country since 1949! The world would be a much better place! We are waiting for Democracy in China!

"National-security police are ratcheting up their efforts to crack down on dissent overseas, offering bounties for a growing list of Hong Kong activists in exile and arresting people suspected of helping them.

The police on Thursday issued arrest warrants for five dissidents who it said have fled overseas and are accused of committing offenses under the national-security law imposed three years ago in the wake of mass pro-democracy demonstrations. They are offering 1 million Hong Kong dollars, the equivalent of about $128,000, to anyone who can share information that could help lead to the capture of each individual—more than double the awards offered on the police website for people wanted on suspicion of murder."
