How can it be that the West and the rest of the world is intimidated by a bunch of Houthi rebels in Yemen

This is a really bad joke! Now a dozen or more major global commercial cargo shipping companies have their ships go around Cape of Good Hope to be safe!

If a bunch of terrorists supported by Iran threatens a major global maritime trading route, then the response should be swift and it can not be soft!

These Houthis should be given one more stern warning to immediately cease any attacks on commercial container or any other commercial ships or else!

Worst of all, the senile, demented, and corrupt 46th U.S. President is dithering! His defense secretary is a product of black privilege and inept!

Archaeologists finds new link between King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba

The fascination with this subject never ceases!

"... “Deciphering the inscription on the urn teaches us not only about the presence of speakers of the language of Sheba in Israel during Solomon’s time, but also about the geopolitical relationship in our region. Mainly in light of the place where the urn was discovered, an area known for being the center of King Solomon’s administrative activity and Jerusalem,” ...“This is further evidence of the extensive commercial and cultural ties that existed between Israel under King Solomon and the Kingdom of Sheba.” ...
According to the new decipherment, the inscription on the urn is “Shi Ladananum 5” – the second of the four components of incense mentioned in the Torah (Exodus 3:34). This component, referred to in Jewish sources as a “clove” and in the Jerusalem Talmud and the Babylonian Talmud as a “fingernail,” was a necessary component of the incense that, according to the sources, was fired both in the first and second houses. This finding points to a clear connection between the Jerusalem of the 10th century BCE (the days of the Kingdom of Solomon) and the Kingdom of Sheba, the team wrote. ..."

Traces of a series of human dispersals through Arabian peninsula

Dedicated to all, who believe in the Global Warming hoax and Climate Change religion! Yes climate changes all the time for many, many millennia and many times in dramatic ways long before the spurious and phony term anthropogenic was coined!

Global Warming aka Climate Change will go down as one of the greatest scams in human history! Like in the Medieval Ages, too many people still believe in fairy tales!

At least parts of the Arabian peninsula were green and had lakes several times over the past 400,000 years.

"Ten years ago, no dated archaeological sites more than 10,000 years old had been recorded in the three million square kilometres of the Arabian Peninsula. ..."

"Here we report a series of dated palaeolake sequences, associated with stone tool assemblages and vertebrate fossils, from the Khall Amayshan 4 and Jubbah basins in the Nefud Desert. These findings, including the oldest dated hominin occupations in Arabia, reveal at least five hominin expansions into the Arabian interior, coinciding with brief ‘green’ windows of reduced aridity approximately 400, 300, 200, 130–75 and 55 thousand years ago. Each occupation phase is characterized by a distinct form of material culture, indicating colonization by diverse hominin groups, and a lack of long-term Southwest Asian population continuity."

"... The results bolster the idea that the periodic greening of this typically harsh desert played a pivotal role in humans’ dispersals out of Africa—and provide the best evidence yet that different groups of humans pulsed out of the continent through the Sinai Peninsula ...
But past excavations and paleoclimate models have revealed that over the past half-million years, brief periods of wetter, warmer conditions dumped seasonal rainfall over the region, turning its low basins into lakes and its ditches into rivers. In short order, the harsh desert became a lush grassland—a “green Arabia”—only to wither back to sand when arid weather inevitably returned. ..."

Traces of a series of human dispersals through Arabia (behind paywall) The Arabian Peninsula was a key migratory crossroads when humans and our hominin relatives began to leave Africa. Archaeological evidence and climate reconstructions reveal episodes when early humans inhabited Arabia.
