King Abdullah of Jordan Predicted Iran’s Two Decades Of Expansionism in 2004. Really!

Is the King of Jordan (since 1999, age 64) out of touch with reality?

First of all, Saddam Hussein of Iraq was a menace like Ayatollah Khomeini and the theocratic dictatorship in Iran. Two evil regimes side by side. So if the king of Jordan argues that the US "upended the regional balance of power" is disingenuous at best!

That the Iraqi people and other Arab countries (like Jordan) were unable or failed to establish a robust democracy in Iraq to counter rogue regimes like Iran after the fall of Hussein is there fault!

Caveat I did not read the whole article.

King Abdullah Predicted Iran’s Two Decades Of Expansionism "The U.S. invasion of Iraq and the fall of the Taliban in Afghanistan upended the regional balance of power. The Islamic Republic spent the next two decades taking advantage."

King Charles Calls for ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ Unity on Ukraine in the US Congress

Good news! Bravo! I don't think this was much reported in the news media!

"... Referring to the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks, when NATO invoked Article 5 for the first time, Charles said allies had historically stood “shoulder to shoulder” through major conflicts, including the world wars and the Cold War.

“Today, that same unyielding resolve is needed for the defense of Ukraine and her most courageous people,” he said. ..."

Norway's Crown Princess Mette Marit in Epstein files as rape trial against her son begins

Amazing stuff! Frequent meetings in person between the princess and Eppstein! How attractive was Eppstein? Who else will be implicated?

On The Problem with Iran’s Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi by Michael Rubin

Recommendable! I am also not convinced to bring in this crown prince unless for a transition period or so. Maybe he is not up to the job to turn Iran into a modern, moderate, democratic and peaceful country.

The crown prince is now in the news almost every day!

"Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi is, without doubt, Iran’s most recognizable opposition figure. ...

Ironically, one major problem is his obsession with not repeating his father’s mistakes. Organizing the Iranian diaspora and internal opposition can be like herding cats. Reza Pahlavi, however, chooses not to wrangle them for fear of the dictator label. At times, such passivity can be valuable; at other times, however, it appears cowardly, if not negligent. The Islamic Republic fears unity of purpose among anti-regime Iranians; unfortunately, Pahlavi has given them little about which to worry… yet. ..."

Royal portrait paintings in our time

In the 21st century, do we still need portrait paintings of kings? I don't want to even comment or remark on the aesthetic features of this painting.

BBC: House of Saud

Recommendable with reservations! How much the king, his family or other individuals in Saudi Arabia support extreme forms of Islam in other countries is the question. Hopefully, the crown prince will implement more reforms as he has already shown.

Denmark: Queen Margrethe II to hand over throne to eldest son Prince Frederik

Bravo! She goes down in history for having set an important and great example!

You wish that the senile, demented and corrupt 46th U.S. President had the wisdom to step down shortly after he took office for health reasons.
