Recommendable! The Russo-Ukraine is World War III given the number of countries involved on both sides! The history of foreign legionnaires fighting for the Ukraine has not been written yet. The Ukraine is kind of cagey about this support. In my estimation, there have been maybe thousands of foreigners fighting to defend the Ukraine against Putin the Terrible!

R.I.P. Yesterday was Memorial Day in the US! Fairly little is being reported about foreigners volunteering to fight for the Ukraine against the Russian invasion. I have written a few blog posts about the foreign legion in the Ukraine.

How many foreign volunteers and foreign legionnaires are helping the Ukraine to defend against Russia? There is unfortunately scarce information about this! We may have to wait until after the war to learn more about it.

Some jobs are clearly more dangerous than others! Deminers are heroes! Just imagine how many children will likely be maimed or killed by unexploded ordinance long after the war is over?

How large is the legion etrangere (foreign/international legion) fighting for the Ukraine! I believe very little is being reported about it.

Presumably, the Haka War Dance was performed by other New Zealand soldiers fighting for the Ukraine.

"The farewell ceremony for Dominic Abelen, a soldier from New Zealand who fought for the International Legion under Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR), took place in Kyiv on Tuesday, accompanied by a traditional Haka war dance by his comrades in his memory.

Unfortunately, the news coverage of foreigners fighting in the Ukraine against the Russian invasion are far in between. I suspect, there is a significant foreign legion active. Perhaps for security reasons this is not more disclosed.

Maybe one day we will learn more about these brave foreigners!

Only sporadically, I see some news about this subject! Either these contributions are so negligible as to be worth reporting or ...?

I suspect it could be a considerable contribution by foreign volunteers from a lot of different countries perhaps not unlike e.g. the Spanish Civil War of 1936-39.

Recommendable! There are several brigades of the foreign legion active from different countries. Georgians make up about 1,000 fighters.
