About the transgender medical industry in the US

Yes, it is a very disturbing development in Western countries! How much of it is medical quackery?

To call this often times medical malpractice/butchery "gender affirming care" is one of the most horrible euphemisms since "Arbeit macht frei" written over the entrance gate of a German concentration camp!

Why are there apparently so many more transgender women than transgender men? Are the transgender men hiding somewhere? Who benefits more?

How guilty are some of the parents who had their daughter undergo double mastectomy or their son castration? Why is nobody calling it genital mutilation as they would when something like it happens to girls in e.g. Africa (double standard?)?

How many juveniles and adults have already detransitioned (another euphemistic term)? We learn very little about it. Why?

"The Department of Health and Human Services recently issued a scathing indictment of the entire transgender medical scheme in a report titled "Wolves in White Coats: How Doctors and Hospitals Pushed and Profited from the Fraud of 'Gender Medicine.'" 

Here's what the report reveals:

• 225+ American hospitals launched pediatric gender programs.
• $50 million in puberty blocker claims—billed as an "unspecified endocrine disorder."
• $11 million more for teenagers 13 to 17—billed as early puberty.
• "Gender dysphoria" is NOT an endocrine disorder. And a 17-year-old is NOT in early puberty.

They swapped the codes: insurers got a bill that said "hormone problem," but what they were actually paying for was puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and irreversible, life-altering surgeries on healthy kids.

Das Ergebnis ist verheerend für die politische Betriebsreligion der „geschlechtsbejahenden“ Medizin. Unter jenen, die eine medizinische Geschlechtsangleichung erhielten, also 38 Prozent der Kohorte, stieg der Anteil mit Bedarf an fachpsychiatrischer Behandlung stark an. Bei biologisch männlichen Jugendlichen, die eine feminisierende Behandlung suchten, sprang der Anteil von 9,8 Prozent vor der Überweisung auf 60,7 Prozent mindestens zwei Jahre danach. Bei biologisch weiblichen Jugendlichen, die eine Transition zum männlichen Geschlecht vornahmen, stieg er von 21,6 auf 54,5 Prozent. ..."

More evidence that medical procedures for transgender children and teenagers are often quackery.

Gender dysphoria is one of the most absurd medical diagnosis out there especially when applied to large number of adolescents.

When genital mutilation is involved then these doctors could be criminally liable!

To examine the prevalence of severe psychiatric morbidity among gender-referred adolescents, focusing on gender differences and outcomes related to medical gender reassignment.

Methods

Finnish nationwide cohort of all under-23-year-old gender-referred individuals between 1996 and 2019 (n = 2 083) and 16 643 matched controls. Cross-tabulations with X2 statistics and Cox regression were used to analyse the data.

Results

Gender-referred adolescents showed significantly higher psychiatric morbidity than controls both before (45.7% vs. 15.0%) and ≥ 2 years after referral (61.7% vs. 14.6%). Those referred after 2010 had greater psychiatric needs than earlier cohorts, both before (47.9% vs. 15.3%) and ≥ 2 years after (61.3% vs. 14.2%) referral.

Among adolescents who underwent medical gender reassignment, psychiatric morbidity increased markedly during follow-up—rising from 9.8% to 60.7% in feminising gender reassignment and from 21.6% to 54.5% in masculinising gender reassignment. After adjusting for prior psychiatric treatment, all gender-referred adolescents had similarly elevated risks of psychiatric morbidity, with hazard ratios approximately three times higher than female controls and five times higher than male controls.

Conclusion

Severe psychiatric morbidity is common among gender-referred adolescents and appears to be more prevalent in those referred after the recent surge in referrals. Psychiatric needs do not subside after medical gender reassignment.

Summary

• Gender-referred adolescents show high psychiatric morbidity, yet gender differences and mental health trajectories after medical gender reassignment remain poorly understood.
• These adolescents had markedly higher psychiatric morbidity than controls before and after referral, with treatment needs often persisting and even intensifying after medical interventions—on some, they might even have a negative impact.
• Findings emphasise the need for thorough psychiatric assessment and ongoing treatment throughout medical gender reassignment.

LSD microdosing for ADHD: Does it work? Not really!

Recommendable! At least the study confirmed that treatment with LSD microdosing is safe! 😊

What is microdosing anyway? If the dose is small enough it may not have an effect at all. It becomes a placebo.

At the end of the study period all participants showed statistically significant reductions in their ADHD symptoms, regardless of placebo or LSD. Importance

Microdosing psychedelics, including lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), has gained attention for its potential benefits in several psychiatric disorders, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). However, LSD’s efficacy in reducing ADHD symptoms remains unknown.

Objective

To determine the safety and efficacy of repeated low doses of LSD in reducing ADHD symptoms compared with placebo.

Design, Setting, and Participants

This was a 6-week, multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group phase 2A randomized clinical trial conducted between December 17, 2021, and December 4, 2023. Data were analyzed from March 22, 2024, to August 19, 2024. Outpatient treatment was provided at 2 centers: University Hospital in Basel, Switzerland, and Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Adults aged 18 to 65 years with a prior ADHD diagnosis who presented with moderate to severe symptoms (Adult Investigator Symptom Rating Scale [AISRS] score ≥26 and Clinical Global Impression Severity score ≥4) were eligible for inclusion. Key exclusion criteria included selected current major psychiatric or somatic disorders and the use of potentially interacting medications.

Intervention  Participants received either LSD (20 μg) or placebo twice weekly for 6 weeks (total of 12 doses).

Main Outcome and Measures  The primary outcome was the change in ADHD symptoms from baseline to week 6, assessed by the AISRS and analyzed with a mixed-effects model for repeated measures.

Results

A total of 53 participants were randomized to LSD (n = 27) or placebo (n = 26). Mean (SD) participant age was 37 (12) years, and 22 participants (42%) were female.

The LSD group presented a mean AISRS improvement of −7.1 points (95% CI, −10.1 to −4.0).

The placebo group presented a mean AISRS improvement of −8.9 points (95% CI, −12.0 to −5.8), with no difference between groups. LSD was physically safe and psychologically well tolerated overall.

Conclusions and Relevance 

In this randomized clinical trial, repeated low-dose LSD administration was safe in an outpatient setting, but it was not more efficacious than placebo in reducing ADHD symptoms."

Between 2011 and 2021, incidence rates of recorded gender dysphoria/incongruence increased from 0.14 (95% CI 0.08 to 0.20) to 4.4 (95% CI 4.1 to 4.7) per 10 000 person years, and from 2014 the rate increased more rapidly in recorded females than males. There was no significant association between gender dysphoria/incongruence and area level deprivation.

Of the 3782 children and young people with a record of gender dysphoria/incongruence, 176 (4.7%) were prescribed puberty suppressing hormones; 302 (8.0%) were prescribed masculinising/feminising hormones; and 1994 (52.7%) had a record of anxiety, depression or self-harm. Compared with matched comparators, those experiencing gender dysphoria/incongruence had similar recorded rates of anxiety and higher rates of depression and self-harm.

Conclusions

Recorded prevalence of gender dysphoria/incongruence increased substantially in children and young people between 2011 and 2021, particularly in recorded females. Levels of anxiety, depression and self-harm were high, indicating an urgent need for better prevention and treatment of mental health difficulties in these patients."
