"Iran is threatening to target energy infrastructure in the Middle East, likely to try to deter the United States and Israel from following through on reported plans to strike Iranian energy infrastructure.
An unspecified senior security official told Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)-affiliated Tasnim News Agency on July 30 that Iran has prepared an attack plan that includes attacks on regional energy infrastructure in response to reports that US President Donald Trump has ordered new strikes on Iran.
IRGC-affiliated Fars News Agency reiterated this threat and published a list of regional energy facilities that it said Iranian missiles can reach.
The list included oil fields and other energy infrastructure in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.
Iran issued these threats after Western media reported that the United States and Israel are considering conducting large-scale strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure.
An Iranian analyst close to the regime stated on August 1 that an attack on Iranian infrastructure would be a "terrifying scenario for everyone" and urged regional and international actors to prevent the "crisis." Iran likely seeks to prevent US or US-Israeli combined force operations by signaling that any attack on Iran’s energy sector would trigger Iranian retaliatory strikes against regional critical infrastructure."

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck Bandar Anzali Port on the Caspian Sea in March 2026 to disrupt shipments of military equipment, including Shahed drones, artillery shells, and other ammunition, that Russia was reportedly transferring to Iran. Ukraine's strikes follow reports that Russia is providing support to Iran during the current conflict.
Zelenskyy stated on July 25 that Russia is providing Iran with satellite imagery of US bases in the Gulf to support Iranian attacks and battle damage assessments. ..."

Pentagon just reported 140 new Iran war casualties totalling now more than 600 and at least 540

"The Pentagon updated its official war casualty database over the weekend, adding more than 140 wounded service members. The Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS) also introduced a new casualty category labeled “Overseas Operations” for personnel killed and wounded “starting July 7”.
According to the updated database, the official toll for the earlier phase of the US-Iran war, known as Operation Epic Fury, now stands at 14 service members killed and more than 400 wounded in action.
These figures have been a point of contention after the Pentagon previously reduced the totals from 18 deaths and 482 wounded that had been recorded just days earlier. ..."

The Saudi-led coalition struck several Houthi targets across Yemen

"The Saudi-led coalition struck several Houthi targets across Yemen on July 24 and 25 in order to degrade the Houthis' capabilities to threaten Saudi-linked shipping in the Red Sea and strike Saudi critical infrastructure. The Houthis and Houthi-affiliated media claimed that Saudi-led forces struck Hudaydah Port, a telecommunications building in Hudaydah City, and an unspecified target on Karaman Island near Salif Port, northwestern Yemen, on July 24.
Anti-Houthi Yemeni media claimed that the strikes targeted Houthi barracks near Hudaydah Port. Geolocated imagery showed a fire burning at Hudaydah Port on July 24 after the alleged Saudi strikes.[iv] A spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition denied that the coalition conducted any strikes targeting the port.

With no Iran war end in sight, Germany pulls back two navy ships eyed for post-war Hormuz mission. Really!
This is what the coward European powers have been doing! The US will remember next time!
Had the European navies shown presence and determination by e.g. escorting commercial ships or by removing mines etc., the Iran war might have ended already with Iran in serious and credible peace negotiations!

"The U.S. government is warning that Iranian state-backed hackers are actively breaking in and disrupting industrial control systems at American water and energy providers. This new alert comes months after federal agencies warned of an escalation in hacking from Iranian actors amid the ongoing war.
In an advisory updated Wednesday, the FBI, the NSA, the Department of Energy, and CISA said Iranian hackers were targeting programmable logic controllers on internet-connected operational networks, allowing them to manipulate data on their displays, causing outages and disruption.
The Iranian hackers were initially discovered earlier this year to be targeting controllers made by Rockwell, but the advisory has now expanded the types of industrial control systems under attack to include products from Schneider Electric and Siemens. ..."
