What is the debate or fuss about the frozen Russian assets in Europe all about?
It is not very difficult! Apparently, several member countries of the EU have doubts or worse.
Either Russia pays war reparations for the military invasion of and the war against the Ukraine by Putin the Terrible or the frozen Russian assets will be used instead!
Putin the Terrible should long ago have been prosecuted as a war criminal in a Nuremberg like Trial!
According to Google: "Europe holds the vast majority of frozen Russian Central Bank assets, around €210 billion ($225+ billion), primarily at the Belgian clearing house Euroclear, which has matured into cash and is generating interest used for Ukraine support, with the EU now pushing a plan to use the principal via a loan structure to cover Ukraine's 2026-27 needs, a move Russia calls illegal but which aims to provide significant, long-term funding without outright confiscation."

Jamaica to take fight for slavery reparations to King Charles. Really!
What a phony fight! Will they also ask the African countries, which contributed actively to capture and trade slaves? What about the slavery involved Arab countries?
Who fights for the currently quasi enslaved people of Tibet, the Uighurs, the Kurds, and the North Koreans? What about the Gypsies and so on ...?
The King would be well advised to dismiss this request!
"Jamaica will ask King Charles to request legal advice from the London-based Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, the final court of appeal for UK overseas territories and some Commonwealth nations, on the issue of slavery reparations.
Under the Judicial Committee Act of 1833, Charles, who remains Jamaica's head of state after the country gained independence from Britain in 1962, has the authority to refer matters to the council for consideration. ..."

President Trump MAGA-vellian reparations plan for black Americans. Really!
There are also lunatics and fools on the right hand side of the political spectrum! Here is an example!
Apparently, President Trump came out in his 2020 reelection campaign with a "Platinum Plan for Black America". Notice, he also spelled Black with a capital B in his plan. Grrr! This was an obvious attempt of crass vote buying by Donald Trump not unlike the 46th President! One can only hope that President Trump regrets this glaring mistake in the meantime! Please, President Trump don't be a fool and resist this urge to pay reparations!
President Trump (45) is also responsible that Juneteenth became a national holiday! Juneteenth is a divisive holiday to satisfy racism ideologists!
Unfortunately, slavery in all its forms has existed throughout human history in many places all over the world! Since 1776, the US, among Western countries, has made one of the earliest and most persistent and successful efforts to abolish slavery and to fully integrate the freed slaves and descendants of slavery into American society. There is no point for e.g. reparations! It is a lunatic proposal!
If the US were to pay any reparations, then perhaps African and Arab countries actively involved in enslaving Africans and in the slave trade should do the same and so on.
P.S. In case someone wonders that MAGA-vellian means. It is derived from Machiavellian.

Making the case for reparations and restitution for 250 years of slavery in the U.S. Really!
This subject is still making waves in the U.S.! This is not about social justice, it is about making oodles of money from taxpayers! This is about buying votes etc.
The Canadian government already does similar things by agreeing to law suit settlements with lavish payouts.
History is full of injustices of all kinds committed by many! It is impossible to pay reparations for most of them. Where do you begin and when do you stop. However, ideologues and demagogues are eager to pick a convenient injustice and turn it into a spigot of beaucoup money!
Just a thought: Why don't we ask Africans to pay for the capture and selling of other Africans to European and Muslim slave traders as was very common?
