European Commission: Antitrust sends Statement of Objections to Apple Pay

This is a really stupid intervention by the European Big Government! This is pretty absurd by the European Commission!  This may cost Apple billions of Euro.

The Commissioner in charge, i.e. Margrethe Vestager, has been known to be a narrow minded zealot for years! Why she is still in office is astonishing! I blogged about her several times.

For any consumer, the restrictions applied to Apple Pay is another good reason not to buy Apple products. Simple as that! The free market is perfectly capable of handling this situation. 

"The European Commission has informed Apple of its preliminary view that it abused its dominant position in markets for mobile wallets on iOS devices. By limiting access to a standard technology used for contactless payments with mobile devices in stores (‘Near-Field Communication (NFC)' or ‘tap and go'), Apple restricts competition in the mobile wallets market on iOS. ...
Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager, in charge of competition policy, said: “Mobile payments play a rapidly growing role in our digital economy. It is important for the integration of European Payments markets that consumers benefit from a competitive and innovative payments landscape."

Diese Strafe scheint ziemlich absurd zu sein! Ich kenne die Details des Verfahrens nicht, aber der Verdacht drängt sich auf! Natürlich hat die SED Kanzlerin Merkel nichts dagegen unternommen, wie üblich! Die anderen führenden Politiker der Bananenrepublik Deutschland haben wohl auch nur zugeschaut!

Was hier auch stutzig macht ist wie die deutschen Automobilhersteller sich gegenseitig fertig gemacht haben und wie sie Schuld eingestanden haben gegen Nachlässe!

EU Kommissarin für Wettbewerbsrecht Margrethe Vestager ist seit langem als Spinnerin bekannt! Warum diese Frau seit 2014 immer noch auf diesem Posten ist, ist schleierhaft!

Deutsche Autobauer zahlen in EU-Kartellverfahren 875 Millionen Wegen Absprachen zu sogenannten AdBlue-Tanks für eine bessere Abgasreinigung müssen BMW und Volkswagen Millionen-Bußgelder zahlen. Daimler geht als Kronzeuge des Kartells straffrei aus.

Good news! So much for greedy politicians!

This defeat is what the nutty EU Commissioner Margrethe Vestager deserves! 

Had Ireland lost this battle with the EU, Ireland would be well advised to consider an exit a la Brexit!

Ah those foolish Europeans! There are plenty of alternatives to overpriced and overhyped Apple! Why does Europe not have any tech companies like Google etc.?

Since 2014, the European Commissioner for Competition is Margrethe Vestager. She has initiated multiple times stupid proceedings against U.S. tech companies! This time it is probably not different! When will they finally get rid of this Commissioner! You would not believe that she even studied economics. She has been a career politician since age 21! Perhaps time she tried something else!

Look at the crazy EU Europeans again! Incompetent Vestager is responsible for digital technology. What a joke! 

The EU Commission plans to shackle AI. The rest of the world will have a good laugh about the nutty and living in a bubble elitist Europeans!

So glad for Brexit! Other European countries should follow the British example!
