That is a very nice/clever trick by China to claim disputed territory! You have to give the Communist Party of China some credits. Caution: satire!

Australian destroyer joins UK Navy to conduct South China Sea Freedom of Navigation activity
Good news! Other European nations ought to do the same with respect to the South China Sea. For too long, mostly the US has done this work alone.
"Australia and the United Kingdom have conducted a Freedom of Navigation activity with their warships around disputed islands in the South China Sea with the Australia destroyer involved subsequently linking up with the UK’s carrier strike group currently in the Indo-Pacific.
The activity around the disputed Spratly islands involved the Royal Navy River-class Offshore Patrol Vessel HMS Spey and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Hobart-class destroyer HMAS Sydney, according to a June 24 X post from the UK’s Permanent Joint Force Headquarters.
Australia has been very cautious in the past to disclose that it was operating close to the disputed islands, so the fact the UK made this public — presumably with Australia’s knowledge — is a notable change of posture. ..."

Philippines to Probe Report of Chinese Sewage-Dumping at Sea
China is getting some attention from its neighbors! It is probably not the kind of attention China was looking for. Communist regimes have a terrible historical track record when it comes to environmental pollution!

South China Sea of troubles
Very recommendable!
The rivalry between totalitarian communist China and the U.S. has the potential to become the next flashpoint for military conflict. This is a very serious matter! New and stronger alliances between the U.S. and countries, bordering the South China Sea and concerned about China's more assertive hegemony, may evolve!
South China Sea of troubles: WASHINGTON, DC IF 2019 WAS the year that strategic competition between China and America upended their trading relationship, 2020 will be the year of intensifying security competition. In both Beijing and Washington patience is waning and calls for action are escalating, making more direct and potentially dangerous encounters likelier. The world should pay more attention to one potential flashpoint in particular: the South China Sea.In 2020 America will sail its ships through the Taiwan Strait once a month, and even send a major warship on a port visit.
