Marjorie Taylor Greene and now Elise Stefanik, two conservative ladies will quit the U.S. House of Representatives and possible politics

Marjorie Taylor Greene is leaving Congress, resigning effective January 5, 2026. There were news that MTG just got engaged.

Elise Stefanik to Quit New York Governor Race and she will not run for re-election to the House.

I am not very familiar with either lady, but it is noteworthy that these two ladies appear to leave politics behind at this time almost simultaneously.

U.S. District Judge Cameron Currie dismisses James Comey, Letitia James indictments after finding that prosecutor was illegally appointed

Unless this judge was politically motivated, this sounds like the prosecutors of the Trump administration are bunch of amateurs!

Maybe a young good looking and charming male prosecutor would have been a better choice here! 😊

Caveat: I am not familiar with the details of this case.

A few days ago, I blogged here about Lindsey Halligan.

Beauty is not substitute for performance! The female judge was not impressed by her looks or dress?

Apparently, Ms. Halligan (age 36) barely had any prior, relevant experience other than: "She served as special assistant to the president and White House senior associate staff secretary from January to September 2025." (Wikipedia)

Judge dismisses Comey, James indictments "The orders make Lindsey Halligan the latest Trump administration prosecutor to be disqualified."

Today [7/8/2025], another of the women in the administration of President Trump hit the news!

The US Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins with following news:

Trump admin unveils National Farm Security Action Plan on foreign ownership, safeguarding research

It is almost as if President Trump in his second term has built a harem of good looking and very qualified women around him to be part of his administration. Pardon my choice of word! Caution: satire!

There are e.g. Tulsi Gabbard, Kristi Noem, Pam Bondi, Lindsey Halligan, Linda McMahon, Karoline Leavitt, and Alina Habba. I am sure I am forgetting some other ladies.

I would bet, his administration is perhaps the administration in history at the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with the most women in top positions!

I just learnt of another such woman, the Chair of the EEOC Ms. Andrea R. Lucas.

Who will be the next presidential candidate for the Republican Party?

Career Spy Named MI6’s First Woman Chief

I hope she is capable and qualified and not just a first like too many other women appointed to high office in Western countries. Meritocracy please, not gender quotas!

"Blaise Metreweli, 47, a veteran intelligence officer, will become the first woman to lead MI6, the U.K.’s foreign spy agency, in its 116-year history.

Currently serving as Director General “Q”—the head of MI6’s technology and innovation division tasked with protecting agent identities—Metreweli will take the reins this fall, replacing Sir Richard Moore as the agency’s 18th “C,” Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced. ..."

Wealthy American Women Who Married into British cash-strapped Aristocracy

Recommendable! Sometimes a title is irresistible! 😊

"Between 1870 and 1914, more than 100 wealthy American women married into Britain’s cash-strapped aristocracy, bringing new money—and new attitudes—to old titles.

Consuelo Vanderbilt, one of the most iconic dollar princesses, was pushed into marrying the Duke of Marlborough and cried through her wedding, later calling life at Blenheim Palace deeply unhappy. Watch a documentary about her.

Nancy Astor, the sharp-tongued daughter of a Virginian railway tycoon, made history as the first woman to sit in Parliament, where she famously clashed with Winston Churchill.

Daisy Leiter of Chicago, a glamorous heiress with a mind of her own, found a rare love match with the Earl of Suffolk and even became a helicopter pilot in her later years.

Cora Colgate, a Southern belle and toothpaste heiress, married Henry Byng, 4th Earl of Strafford, who died in a mysterious fall onto railway tracks just five months after their wedding."

Slovak female singers perform Indian National Anthem at the Banquet hosted in honour of female Indian President Murmu

Cute! What a scene! A Slovak female choir in local costumes sings the Indian Anthem in a traditional Western salon. India, a rising superpower. We will see more Western countries singing the Indian anthem in the future. Mark my words!

First time in Virginia's history that both major party candidates are women and it is white (D) against black (R)

Good news! Can Winsome win this one too?

"Virginia's 2025 gubernatorial race is already historic—and the election is still seven months away. ...

For the first time in commonwealth history, both major-party nominees are women:
Democratic former congresswoman Abigail Spanberger and
Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears.
One of them will become Virginia's first female governor, breaking a barrier that has stood since Patrick Henry became the commonwealth's first governor in 1776. ..."

1973: Former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir gives a poignant history lesson.

Very recommendable! She was quite a lady comparable to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher!
Still very relevant for the current situation! Among other things, she explains how the Arab refugees are used for decades like pawns and useful idiots to fight Israel.
She also seriously questions what is Palestine!

Kemi Badenoch: the public were right to kick us out.

She seems to be a likeable, down to earth person with a humble background! However, I am not sure she is a great choice for leading the Conservative Party! E.g. I probably would not have chosen a kitchen as background.

Kemi Badenoch announced as new UK Conservative Party leader

We will find out how this works out! I don't think I have noticed this lady before in British politics.
