US Senator Rand Paul pushes for Anthony Fauci indictment for lying about gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology

What the hell took so long! Unfortunately, Anthony Fauci strategically retired just in time and is now over 85 years old!

I have blogged here as early as 2020 or so that something was very fishy about the US federal government funding so called gain of function research at that Institute of Virology in Wuhan, China, the possible source and lab leak of the SARS-CoV-2/Covid-19 virus. This Institute of Virology is also suspected to do dual use research.

"Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Tuesday called for Anthony Fauci, former longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), to be indicted for what the senator claimed was his lying under oath about gain-of-function research.

“6 days from now, on May 11th, the statute of limitations expires on the possibility of indicting Anthony Fauci for denying under oath that he funded gain-of-function research involving bat coronaviruses in Wuhan, the origin city of the pandemic,” Paul wrote on social media. ..."

Jury Says Bill Cosby (age 88) Drugged and Raped a Woman in 1972, Awards Her $59 Million

Such verdicts over 50 years after the alleged rape took place are insane and injust!

This is a dangerous attack on the legal principle of statute of limitations! This is a serious perversion of justice!

Did any of the accusers come out to report the rape at the time (1972)?

Caveat: I am not familiar with the details of the case.

"After a nearly two-week trial in Santa Monica, jurors found Cosby, 88, liable for the sexual battery and assault of Donna Motsinger. They awarded her $17.5 million in past damages and $1.75 million for future damages, including “mental suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, inconvenience, grief, anxiety, humiliation, and emotional distress.”

Then in a second phase of the trial Monday afternoon, they awarded an additional $40 million in punitive damages. ...

Update of 10/26/2022: Only today, I more fully realized how powerful a rape charges against a man can be. Not only can a woman accuse a man up to two decades later after the alleged rap, she can then also file a defamation suit (like in this case here) if the accused man denies any rape! Very nice! Men watch out in the battle of the sexes!

Excessive statute of limitations on rape make political assassination even more possible! This new defamation suit is most likely a hoax by a political activist!

Her alleged rape was committed in 1995 or 27 years ago! This is insane! Some of the witnesses, if there were any may not be alive anymore!

According to Wikipedia, in her book she has also alleged another man had raped her! Given her career, she appears to be a woman on a mission!

Rape is by nature in many cases a very difficult crime to prosecute!

In 2019, New York state has "extend[ed] the statute of limitations from five years to 20 years for second-degree rape and from five years to 10 years for third-degree rape.". Any such statute of limitations beyond 10 years are  extreme, allow certain women to wield a weapon of destruction against targeted men, and defy reality!

Men should be very careful to go along with such extreme statute of limitations! For men, there is no good reason to be cavalier about this in the battle of the sexes!

Virginia Giuffre and the Statute of Limitations for sex crimes

Claims of sexual harassment, other sex crimes, or rape are often very difficult to prove in the court of law especially if the incident dates back years.

What are actually the statute of limitations for such claims. I have only cursory followed the allegations against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, but it appears in such high profile cases and others the statutes of limitations have no limitations. I noticed this again and again. We are told, we have to believe these females claiming to be victims of sex crimes..

Most of Ms. Giuffre's claims were filed many years after the alleged incidents occurred.

Today, I read most of the Wikipedia entry for Virginia Giuffre (born 1983). She is married since 2002, so I presume all her sexual trafficking and related sex crime crime claims date back to before her marriage. She was reportedly associated with Mr. Eppstein between 2000-2002. 

Her life and deeds suggest that she is in some ways dubious. E.g. was she really so innocent or did she seek if not exploit these environments? E.g. was she perhaps a recruiter? Is she an opportunist?

We learn following surprising things about her from Wikipedia:

1. She is an activist for female victims of sex crimes
2. She signed at least one very lucrative non disclosure agreement
3. She "from the age of seven, was molested by a close family friend"
4. She went from "an abusive situation, to being a runaway, to living in foster homes"
5. "She lived on the streets at age 13 before getting abused by a 65-year-old sex trafficker, Ron Eppinger, in Miami. Giuffre lived with Eppinger for approximately 6 months." She did not run away this time.
6. "In March 2005, while Giuffre was still establishing her family in Australia, the Palm Beach Police Department began investigating Epstein after a 14-year-old girl and her parents reported his behavior.  The girl described being recruited by a female classmate from her high school to give Epstein a massage at his mansion in exchange for money, wherein he subsequently molested her"

Will Ms. Giuffre come out with sex crime allegations against Donald Trump next after Alan Dershowitz  and Prince Andrew? I would not be surprised: "Her father worked as a maintenance manager at the Mar-a-Lago property owned by Donald Trump, and also helped Giuffre obtain a job there.", "In the summer of 2000, Giuffre first met Ghislaine Maxwell when working as a spa attendant at Donald Trump's private Mar-a-Lago club while reading a book about massage therapy."

P.S. I do little doubt that Ms. Giuffre is probably a troubled woman and needs help and treatment.

How many times has Lance Armstrong been accused of doping? By how many different agencies etc.?

Is there no statute of limitations for former athletes?

When is an athlete ultimately acquitted?

Notice Of Allegations

Lance Armstrong is the only athlete accused of doping in the notice of allegations dated 6/13/2012 by the U.S. Anti Doping Agency (USADA). The other five individuals named were doctors and staff of the former US Postal Service professional cycling team. As of today (6/15/12), the reportedly 15 page long notice of allegations is not yet published on the USADA website.

Does The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency Have Legal Standing?

According to their website, the USDA’s mission is “… the national anti-doping organization for the Olympic movement in the United States. The U.S. Congress recognized USADA as "the official anti-doping agency for Olympic, Pan American and Paralympic sport in the United States." (emphasis added).

Did the US Postal Service professional cycling team with Lance Armstrong ever compete in any of the above mentioned sport events? I might be wrong, but I believe this is not the case. Thus, what is the authority of the USDA regarding Lance Armstrong? I am not an attorney, but if I was one I would look into it.

Well, perhaps the USDA considers Lance Armstrong to be competing in the Paralympic sports category as a cancer survivor.
