Margaret Thatcher at 100 | Honoring the Iron Lady and Her Friendship with Ronald Reagan

This was indeed a very special relationship! Plus there was the Polish Pope John Paul II. It was a rare meeting of great minds! It was an episode in human history of great accomplishments like none other in recent memory!

Was Friedrich Merz von Margaret Thatcher lernen könnte. Wirklich!

Iron lady Sanae Takaichi

Will she be able to live up to such aspirations and connotations? Or is it all hype? If yes, she will be great!

Probably, the charts for many western countries look similar! Very concerning!

Rarely in history you have such a meeting of great minds! Together with Margaret Thatcher, these three individuals made the Soviet Union empire crumble!

‘Biggest Mistake of the Century’ — Britain’s Hong Kong Handover 25 Years Ago to Beijing Marked the ‘Beginning of the End’. Really!

What a stupid article by Breitbart news! I am afraid, there might be others thinking in similar ways.

The British only honored an international agreement between China and the UK about a 100 lease of 1898 of the territory. Whether then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher could have negotiated a better Sino-British Joint Declaration in 1984 is another question. In hindsight, it would probably have been better for the UK to wait a few more years before negotiating a deal.

That the Communist Party of China would select a dictator and hegemon like Xi Jinping twice to be the party leader in violation of Deng Xiaoping's reforms was most likely unforeseeable at the time of handover.

25 Years: Britain's Hong Kong Handover Marked 'Beginning of the End' Marking the “beginning of the end”, 25 years ago Britain’s Union Jack flag was lowered at the Government House in Central Hong Kong for the final time, replaced with the yellow and red of the Chinese Communist regime in Beijing.

Innenministerin Priti Patel - Großbritanniens neue eiserne Lady

Pope John Paul II: The Pope who helped bring down communism

Recommendable! Rarely in history get the right men and women together to change history in positive ways! Pope John Paul II, President Reagan, and Prime Minister Thatcher was such a moment in history!
The providence of President Reagan and Pope John Paul II to have survived assassination attempts were a binding them together.

Margaret Thatcher on Socialism: 20 of Her Best Quotes

Recommendable! Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, President Ronald Reagan, and Pope John Paul II, rarely in history do we have such a meeting of great minds! The three were joined by General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev! The rest is history!

"... I came to office with one deliberate intent: to change Britain from a dependent to a self-reliant society—from a give-it-to-me, to a do-it-yourself nation. A get-up-and-go, instead of a sit-back-and-wait-for-it Britain. ..."

Margaret Thatcher on Socialism: 20 of Her Best Quotes - Foundation for Economic Education In 1979, the Iron Lady assumed the premiership of a country riven with labor strife, racked by stagflation and run down by decades of nanny government.

The Life Of The Real Margaret Thatcher documentary

Recommendable!

Rarely in history have three great humans met like Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II to make a lasting and positive difference on world affairs! Unfortunately, the documentary comes short to show the relationship between Thatcher & Reagan.

"To those waiting with bated breath for that favourite media catchphrase, the 'U-turn', I have only one thing to say: 'You turn [U-turn] if you want to. The lady's not for turning!'" (Source)

Firing Line with William F. Buckley Jr.: What Have We Learned from the Failure of British Socialism?

Recommendable! Meet the best British Prime Minister since Churchill! Boris Johnson better learns something from this politician by conviction!

P.S. William F. Buckley Jr. is rather disappointing! He is too aloof and cocky! He missed his opportunity to bring out the best in Thatcher and make this interview a legend in his own right!

The Hong Kong we know is dead

Very recommendable! Stand with the people of Hong Kong!
Article contains many details about the new national security law! It is horrible, it is the work of a totalitarian dictatorship!

Why did Prime Minister Thatcher sign this Sino-British Joint Declaration in 1984 to transfer Hong Kong in 1997? I bet, she was believing that the Communist Party of China would not exist anymore by 2047. Did she have then already a hunch or even knowledge that the USSR was crumbling?

Margaret Thatcher on Socialism: 20 of Her Best Quotes

Very recommendable! Thank you Lawrence Reed for your compilation and commentary!

Margaret Thatcher undoubtedly among the greatest British Prime Ministers of all time! R.I.P.

"“I started life with two great advantages: no money, and good parents.”

"I came to office with one deliberate intent: to change Britain from a dependent to a self-reliant society—from a give-it-to-me, to a do-it-yourself nation. A get-up-and-go, instead of a sit-back-and-wait-for-it Britain." ...

Marxists get up early in the morning to further their cause. We must get up even earlier to defend our freedom."
