The Phony Indictment Of Roger Stone

When I hastily wrote this blog post on some hours ago, I had no idea who Roger Stone really was and I had neglected to do any background research on this man, because of time constraints. My ignorance comes to haunt me now :-)

Now, I know Roger Stone even wrote a book in which he asserted that that Lyndon B. Johnson was a serial psychopath, who allegedly had several persons murdered among them president John F. Kennedy. In this Reason Foundation article (Roger Stone Indictment Describes a Cover-Up of a Nonexistent Crime/The Trump adviser's legal problem is not what he did but what he said about what he did.), I found an interview YouTube video of Nick Gillespie with Roger Stone, where Mr. Stone discusses his book.

The trial promises to be very interesting with Roger Stone. I have a feeling Robert Mueller will come out of this as a total fool if not worse! Mueller will likely rue the day he indicted Stone!

Today (1/25/2019), the Wall Street Journal reported about the indictment of Roger Stone by the Mueller investigation. Roger Stone is a longtime advisor of Roger Stone.

There appears nothing in the indictment that has much substance or is of merit! The evidence presented is not convincing or so trivial as to be laughable

I have briefly perused the indictment against Roger Stone:

1. None of the criminal accusations have much to do with the possible Russian interference in the last U.S. presidential election
2. Basically all criminal accusations deal with whether Roger Stone communicated in written form with someone or not and whether he misrepresented about whether he had e-mail communications with these persons or not in public hearings
3. The witness tampering charges are weak
4. What Roger Stone, according to the indictment, did was to contact various persons to gather intelligence on political opponents. There were no Russians involved at all

The ongoing, now two year long, special counsel investigation by Robert Mueller has been for months becoming more and more a farce or travesty of justice. It is obviously a witch hunt against the incumbent president than anything else! What a waste of taxpayers money!

Just watched this stunning, recent talk by Kimberley Strassel: The Left will Silence You. She spoke on 4/30/2019 at the David Horowitz Freedom Center. Among many other things, she raised the right question whether and when the FISA court will finally stand up to its abuse by FBI and DOJ (I blogged about this here)!

I wish, I had only a fraction of her courage! I am a little concerned now that this lady is going to suffer a burn out over this issue.

She acknowledged the support by her Wall Street Journal colleague Paul Gigot! Two thumbs up for this man!

We also learn why this investigative reporter is living in Alaska of all places! Enjoy!

More amazing/disturbing things become known about the witch hunt against President Trump. Here some salient quotes (emphasis added):

1. “It was arranged by then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who personally called Mr. Flynn on other business, then suggested he sit down with two agents to clear up the Russia question. Mr. McCabe urged Mr. Flynn to conduct the interview with no lawyer present—to make things easier.
2. The agents (including the infamous Peter Strzok) showed up within two hours. They had already decided not to inform Mr. Flynn that they had transcripts of his conversations or give him the standard warning against lying to the FBI. They wanted him “relaxed” and “unguarded.” Former Director James Comey this weekend bragged on MSNBC that he would never have “gotten away” with such a move in a more “organized” administration. The whole thing stinks of entrapment … ”
3. “... the curious question was how the Flynn defense team got the details. The court filing refers to a McCabe memo written the day of the 2017 meeting, as well as an FBI summary—known as a 302 … These are among documents congressional Republicans have been fighting to obtain for more than a year, only to be stonewalled by the Justice Department. Now we know why the department didn’t want them public.
4. … Judge Sullivan. He sits on the U.S. District Court in the District of Columbia, and as he wrote for the Journal last year, he got a “wake-up call” in 2008 while overseeing the trial of then-Sen. Ted Stevens of Alaska. Judge Sullivan ultimately assigned a lawyer to investigate Justice Department misconduct. The investigator’s report found prosecutors had engaged in deliberate and repeated ethical violations, withholding key evidence from the defense. It also excoriated the FBI for failing to write up 302s and for omitting key facts from those it did write. The head of the FBI was Mr. Mueller. ...”

Was Trump’s Campaign ‘Set Up’? At some point, the Russia investigation became political. How early was it? Opinion piece by Kimberley A. Strassel (Unfortunately, behind paywall)

It looks like this highly regarded journalist of the Wall Street Journal is pursuing a story to uncover what could well turn out to be Watergate II, but much more sophisticated and stealthy than the dumb break in into the Democratic Party headquarters located in the Watergate building in Washington DC in 1972.

Kimberley A. Strassel might just become the next Bob Woodward & Carl Bernstein (both then Washington Post) of Watergate fame.

Bigger Than Watergate!

This scandal is far worse than Watergate. This is far more sophisticated than the crude burglary of Watergate and its cover up ever was. This time it is not the president, but the opposition party (Democrats) and former President Obama who is covering up.

Yesterday, the law offices of a personal attorney of President Trump, his hotel room and his home were raided by the discredited and nothing to show for special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation that has been going on now for over a year. I was stunned to see the news yesterday.

Special counsel has applied so far some of the toughest prosecutorial instruments in his investigation against the president, including accusations of tax evasion against persons close to President Trump. So far, Mueller has come up empty handed.

What has unfolded in this U.S. presidential election of 2016 is already bigger than Watergate! I don’t have the time to put the details together here, but it is my firm impression to be true.

The most unlawful president since Nixon, i.e. Obama, has covered up the election campaign of Hillary Clinton and saved her and himself from prosecution!

The U.S. Department of Justice and the Attorney General under the Obama administration have become extremely politicized! Just this secretive meeting between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former president Bill Clinton shortly before the FBI would announce the results of their investigation of Hillary Clinton is by itself incredible.

Again, the IRS under Obama was used to undermine political opposition! The current IRS commissioner has not yet resigned nor has Obama asked for his resignation.

What We the Citizens also have witnessed here is that the Democratic Party wholly incapable of cleaning up the mess.
