Artificial intelligence (AI) forces a fundamental reform of primary and secondary pedagogy

Does anyone seriously doubt it?

The centuries lasting traditional setup of classrooms with teacher in front and fixed school hours is doomed!

Best of all it may allow personalized/individualized learning! Thus, each student can e.g. learn at their own pace and curiosity.

How about brain computer interfaces?

aiEDUcation Project for AI literacy

Now with the takeoff of machine learning & AI, I believe pedagogy and the education of children will never be the same again.

Exciting times for students. More exploration and discovery, more personalization, create your own syllabus and much more.

The Internet was already a major improvement. E.g. allowing more parents to choose home schooling or other alternative to conventional K-12 schooling.

"Recent surveys show that teachers actually use generative AI tools more than students (e.g. for creating lesson plans and interesting word problems). The AI Education Project, funded by Google, Intel, and OpenAI, has trained over 7,000 teachers in AI usage, with generative AI commonly used for lesson planning and parent communication. ..." Last Week in AI

The Ordered Liberty of Montessori Education

Recommendable! As someone, who attended a Montessori kindergarten, I feel obliged to spread the word.

"... Maria Montessori was the first female doctor in Italy, a scientific genius. Starting out with slum children in 1907, she had discovered and implemented a brilliant and complex method of education. It treated each child as a unique individual and nurtured his or her development and powers to thrive. Children became hard-working, curious, creative, self-possessed, and high-achieving individuals who knew how to live peaceably and respectfully with others. ...
Thus, the three essential values needed for a free society are developed: reason, individualism, and freedom. ..."

Carnegie Mellon Tool Automatically Turns Math Into Pictures

Good news! I bet much more people would get involved with mathematics beyond high school math when math is not represented by a terse, almost inscrutable language and notation.

To image concepts of mathematics, which, by the way, are often not that complicated, but shrouded in that alien like language, would offer a chance to make mathematics much more accessible to interested people.
