Good news! I bet much more people would get involved with mathematics beyond high school math when math is not represented by a terse, almost inscrutable language and notation. 

To image concepts of mathematics, which, by the way, are often not that complicated, but shrouded in that alien like language, would offer a chance to make mathematics much more accessible to interested people.
