Karl Marx Despised Society's Poorest People
Recommendable! It is quite surprising that Karl Marx and his sugar daddy Friedrich Engels had such a low opinion of the so called Lumpenproletariat!

Why is it surprising? Marx and Engels were explicit in their argument that the proletariat would ultimately be the gravedigger of capitalism. By themselves peasants, small business owners, "lumpen" elements, students, etc. could not fulfill this role, and are obliged in any revolutionary situation to submit to the leadership of either the bourgeoisie or the proletariat.
After all, what is more likely to endanger capitalism, a communist party that could mobilize innumerable workers, or declassed individuals who resort to criminal acts to survive?
