Ethiopia holds talks over opening banking industry to foreign investors
Good news! The banking sector in Ethiopia was closed to foreign banks for decades.
"The Ethiopian government is in consultation with representatives from its banking industry over the opening up of the sector to foreign investment. A draft proclamation to amend the banking business laws suggests that a foreign bank may be allowed to acquire shares in a domestic bank. The move is part of the government's homegrown economic reforms."

India's long tryst with destiny (actually socialism) is slowly coming to an end since about 1991!
"Essentially these [latest new] laws liberate the farmers from the clutches of state control and provide them the freedom to manage their supply and trade. Farmers have long had to sell their harvests at government-designated markets where the balance of power is in favour of the middlemen, reducing the bargaining power of the farmers. The restrictions and regulation of supply and trade of agricultural produce led to artificial determination of prices."
