What a bizarre story! Justice delayed is justice denied!

Why did it take 31 years from committing the crime to carrying out the capital punishment in this case?

"Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee halted the execution of Christa Gail Pike, who was convicted of a 1995 murder in which the victim had a pentagram carved into her body. 

Pike's attorneys said in a court filing Wednesday night that their client is still alive and snoring, after she received two lethal doses of drug. ..."
