The more we learn about this particular school shooting incident, it seems the police and school authorities in charge committed a serious of deadly mistakes with respect to established security practices.
Caveat: I don't claim to be an expert on this or any mass shooting events.
Most egregiously, the seriousness of the active shooter was not recognized despite him shooting first his grandma (who survived and called 911) and that the active shooter then drove his grandma's car to the school where he crashed his car near the school and fired three shots already before he entered the school. A teacher from inside the school called 911 about this incident within minutes.
Why was the school not immediately in lockdown? And so on.
And all Dimocratic U.S. Senators and too many Republican Senators voted for new gun controls.
