A Century of Federal Spending, 1925-2025 in the U.S.

This expansion of federal government spending since about the year 2000 is totally unsustainable! 

Not least this reckless and irresponsible federal spending  has fueled the current price inflation

Government debt has gone through the roof! Interest payments on federal debt has picked up and is close to 5% of GDP or or above 25% of total federal government spending now.

When federalism morphs into centralism. Big Government grows and grows! 

When federal government spending supplants state government spending and independence!

As this chart below clearly shows that from the mid 1970s  to about 2008 non-military federal spending stayed under 15% of GDP. One can even argue that permanent spending above 10% of GDP is very suspect!

Unfortunately, the chart below does not show the federal budget deficit! Quite an omission!
