The Washington Compost were possibly inspired by and tried to appeal to Dr. Strangelove (or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb)! I would not be surprised if this story is fictional!
After the Russian collusion hoax, multiple impeachments etc. another serious smear campaign!
These "leaks" were also eagerly picked up e.g. by major news sources in Germany and Switzerland without qualification!
