Apparently, Bertha was also busy in the workshop helping her husband with his invention. She also sacrificed her dowry to finance her inventor husband.

The first gas station were pharmacies on the famous 100 kilometer long trip. After she returned from this trip she reminded her husband that the car needed another gear so the car could go uphill.
