Very recommendable! From humble beginnings and remaining humble to the very end! Humphrey Davy his mentor at the Royal Institution was also of humble origins. Apparently, Davy and Humphrey were were very religious men.

Possibly, Simon Whistler made a mistake when he attributed the Davy Lamp to to Michael Fraday!
