Best joke of the day! So much hype and hubris makes me dizzy! 😊
Like the The End of History and the Last Man by Francis Fukuyama!
Perhaps, the end of programming as we know it!
I am afraid the author (estimated to be at least 50 years old) of this article may have to step out of a tech bubble. He may have to dream on for quite a number of years! "He was previously a professor of computer science at Harvard University, a director of engineering at Google, an engineering lead at Apple, and the SVP of Engineering at OctoML. He received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley back in the days when AI was still not playing chess very well [that was before 1997]."
Caveat: I did not have the time to read the whole article!
"... Programming will be obsolete. I believe the conventional idea of "writing a program" is headed for extinction, and indeed, for all but very specialized applications, most software, as we know it, will be replaced by AI systems that are trained rather than programmed. ..."
