When will the Communist Party of China be replaced by a multi party system, where each political party has to compete for citizen votes.
Maybe then, the people of Taiwan will probably hold a referendum about reunification. Just a reminder, Germany was reunited back in 1990.
Would it not be a wonderful historical moment when a military or otherwise hostile invasion/takeover of Taiwan by China could be averted this way? Human progress in prosperity and peace!
