Racial Disparities in COVID-19 Outcomes Among Black and White Patients With Cancer. Really?

It is a sad or even horrible state of affairs when even the prestigious American Medical Association publishes propaganda and demagoguery in its flagship JAMA journal without any reservation or qualification! The article below is also classified as an "Original Investigation"!

This original investigation was then promptly disseminated up by the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in its daily newsletter under "Key Developments"!

  2. What if white or Asian descendant patients under similar circumstances do not fair much better than patients of other skin colors?

"Objective  To investigate racial disparities in severity of COVID-19 presentation, clinical complications, and outcomes between Black patients and non-Hispanic White patients with cancer and COVID-19. ...
Meaning  These findings suggest that, within the framework of structural racism in the US, having cancer and COVID-19 is associated with worse outcomes among Black patients compared with White patients. ..."
