When a classical liberalism think tank like the Fraser Institute in Canada bemoans the decline of standardized testing in the basic school education of children red lights should go on!
Should the aim for a classical liberalism think tank not be rather to privatize as much as possible government school education and to promote alternative forms of education etc. than standardized testing?
"This will limit the ability of parents, teachers and principals to measure student performance and the overall health of the education system!"
Unfortunately, most traditional/conventional testing of school children is rather inadequate! Whether these tests are capable of measuring e.g. logical and fact based reasoning is doubtful. As much as these tests still can be passed easily with rote memorization these tests are fairly useless!
Individuality and mental faculties are very difficult to measure with standardized tests! Most classical liberals know about that you would hope!
