A powerful new model could make global warming estimates less vague

You got to love this MIT Technology Review headline!

Indeed cloud formation is one of the Achilles heels of climate models! Scientists still do not understand this phenomenon very well.

Any computer model that pretends to be able forecast climate for the next several decades is dubious! We cannot even forecast weather accurately for more than 24 hours! (Pst! The complexity of weather and climate is similar and they are closely related)

A powerful new model could make global warming estimates less vague | MIT Technology Review (behind paywall) One of the biggest sources of climate uncertainty is how clouds will behave. Caltech physicist Tapio Schneider is trying to give us some answers.
