According to reports about plants and harbors being shut down in China if only a single person is tested positive with Covid-19. This maybe speculative!
Unfortunately, I am not aware of the extent of these measures or how serious it is. More confirmation would be necessary and desirable. However, under the self anointed dictator for life Xi Jinping, such tactics are quite possible to let the rest of the world know who is in charge.
Of course, this would have a negative and significant effect on global supply chains and cause shortages and higher inflation around the world.
Very nice! Made in China becomes ominous! Made in China may loose its appeal! Diversification of global supply chains away from China seems in order!
