Just read “Democracy in the Twenty-First Century” by Joseph Stiglitz. The title is enticing but completely misleading. Most of his peace deals with “Piketty’s recent book Capital in the Twenty-First Century”. As if this book has not yet been by now debunked enough.
Stiglitz also supports higher taxes on capital gains or inheritance taxes. How much more dumb can a Nobel Laureate economist get? I really feel sorry for this profession!
As a former economist myself I have to say there are way too many economists out there who are collectivists and enemies of individual freedom and responsibility.
Joseph Stiglitz just (9/1/2011) wrote another, very biased hit piece “The Price of 9/11”. Unfortunately, the publisher of these articles, i.e. The Project Syndicate, now annoys readers with a demand to sign in or register in order to be able to read and copy the article.
