Why do Trump and Putin the Terrible meet in Alaska?

For at least three historical reasons:
  1. "Russia owned Alaska as a territory known as Russian America from 1799 to 1867. In 1867, Russia sold Alaska to the United States." (Google search result)
  2. They meet at a "military base [Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage] in Alaska that was crucial to countering the Soviet Union during the height of Cold War and still plays a role today."
  3. Then there is the International Criminal Court arrest warrant on Putin the Terrible since March 2023
Seems to be a well balanced choice for a meeting! 😊

Trump and Putin will meet at Alaska base long used to counter Russia
