I think it is mostly manufactured and totally blown out of proportion! A tempest in a teapot!
Keep in mind it is Silly Season or the summer hole.
These few, fairly unknown lefties, who made weird comments about this ad, are not exactly the stuff of major stories.
But it was good for business! It was reported that these jeans sold out!
