That's it! I pledge not to vote again in any forthcoming U.S. elections. Unless something fundamentally changes in the political environment towards more individual freedom and small and limited government, I have no good reason to vote anymore. I am afraid, I will not be the only American citizen!
Way too many elected Republican Party representatives at the federal and state level have proven beyond any doubt to be COWARDS in response to the unprecedented, massive irregularities during the November 2020 elections especially in tight races in a few battleground states.
Perhaps the greatest disappointment and COWARD of all turned out to be Republican Vice President Mike Pence when he presided over the certification of the electoral votes on January 6-7, 2021. Sometimes in the course of history, the most important responsibility comes down to one man or woman to do the right thing. Mike Pence shirked his constitutional and moral obligations! He should have refused the certification of the electoral votes in favor of further investigations into the election irregularities!
That basically no significant elected Democratic Party representative came forward to support election recounts and audits is incredible! Such strict party discipline is typically common among authoritarian political parties! How many coup attempts did the Dimocrats try on President Trump during his four years in office?
The Founding Fathers and Mothers (Federalists & Anti- Federalists) were very disappointed again! This republic will not survive with politicians like this!
If there is one amendment missing in the U.S. Constitution then it is term limits amendment for all members of the U.S. Congress not only for the U.S. President. E.g. 12 years for the entire lifetime would be enough! I am so tired of lifelong career politicians!
In the meantime, I have come to the conclusion that it is high time for a third party in the United States (see my blog post here).
Then there is the Convention of States under Article V of the U.S. Constitution. Hopefully, this Convention of States might one day introduce important and missing amendments to the Constitution. It has been making slowly progress and perhaps given the November Election of 2020, its progess will accelerate now!
