The latest news from Google indicate that their free cloud offerings are coming to an end and that Google needs to free up storage capacity! However, Google with its generous free offers over the past several years has greatly helped to popularize data storage in the cloud for everyone. The free offer of the Google office suite is still available etc.
There was e.g. the recent announcement that all trash would be cleared after 30 days.
