President Trump and President Xi strike a deal to cut tariffs on $30 billion worth of goods

Good news! Once more The Art of the Deal!

Yesterday, I was speculating here that perhaps "there is something in the pipeline".

However, this approach to negotiate favorable trade deals with individual countries is controversial.

"The White House announced that President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping have reached a deal to cut tariffs on $30 billion worth of goods.

According to a White House fact sheet, China has agreed to import at least 10 million metric tons of coal from the U.S. in 2027 and 2028.

The agreement covers U.S. exports of agricultural goods, wood products, fish and seafood, cosmetics, and medical devices, the White House said. 

The Chinese imports in the deal include small appliances, holiday decorations, toys as well as children’s car seats. ..."
