Texas ranchers oppose massive wind turbine project owned by Chinese company

This is an interesting case! How much is actually China behind pushing these thousands of wind mills to be built in Western countries?

"Two West Texas ranches are suing ERCOT over a wind farm project moving forward in Val Verde County.

Blue Hills wind farm is a 46-turbine project started by GH America Energy. Though GH is based in Houston, its parent company is owned by Chinese billionaire Sun Guangxin. The ranchers argue ERCOT should have stopped the project after the Legislature passed a law banning entities from China, Russia, Iran and North Korea from having direct access to critical infrastructure.

GH America applied to connect the wind farm to the grid before the 2021 law went into effect, and Greenalia, a Spanish renewable energy, took over the farm in 2022. But its unclear who owns the ground beneath the planned turbines. Records show Greenalia entered into a lease agreement with Brazos Highland, a company also reportedly owned by Sun, last July.

Other opponents of the project fear its potential environmental consequences."
