On the Russian World War II Victory Day Celebration

The global media were intensely reporting for several days on this year's celebration because of the war of aggression against the Ukraine by Russia. What will Putin the Terrible do or say?

However, this Russian celebration is a holdover from the former Soviet Union.

Well, the former Soviet Union itself was an aggressor in World War II and beyond. Poland was divided in 1939 between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. Finland was invaded 1939 by the Soviet Union.

Then there was the Katyn Massacre committed by the Soviet Union in 1940 killing over 22,000 Poles.

After World War II, several Eastern European countries remained occupied and subjected to communist dictatorship by the Soviet Union.

So what does Russia actually celebrate on that day?
