‘Why Did You Do This?’ 21 year young Russian man. The Story Behind Ukraine’s First War-Crimes Trial

Update 5/23/2022: I had assumed he was a regular foot soldier. However, today I learn he is tank unit sergeant!

Hopefully, lots of Russian parents are becoming very concerned!

This ought to be a very strong and important signal to any Russian soldier including generals and other officers involved in this war of aggression!

I hope they did not rush, haste, or or do worse in this first war crimes trial! I hope this trial holds up to scrutiny!

The young Russian man probably had only the foggiest idea what he was really getting into!

I hope the outcome of this war crimes trial and others to follow will have a strong impact on the Russian people. May some Russian parents regret and have second thoughts that their sons and daughters in the military were misled, tempted and exposed by Putin the Terrible to potentially commit war crimes. I am confident that Russian parents will not be oblivious to this prospect of one of their children being sentenced as a war criminal who killed innocent civilians!
