House Joint Resolution 12 - 117th Congress (2021-2022): Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to limit the number of terms that a Member of Congress may serve

Please support this important and sorely missing amendment to the U.S. Constitution!

If the the presidency of Donald J. Trump has taught us anything, it is that the Founding Fathers and Mothers never wanted lifelong career politicians to run our country! George Washington himself set the example by refusing a third presidential term!

Apart from the term limited U.S. presidency, Term limits for our elected representatives are actually quite common throughout the United States, but to this day the members of the U.S. Congress have refused to accept term limits for themselves! E.g. nine out of the 10 biggest cities impose term limits on mayors and/or council members (source).
I have blogged e.g. here on this subject!
