These intelligent sensory systems can be used to diagnose Corona, and future epidemics. The group’s research focuses on breath testing using nano-sensors and AI and on a skin patch. The method is non-invasive, fast and inexpensive, and is already undergoing clinical trials in a hospital where COVID-19 is being treated.
Among many honors, Prof. Haick’s research received a prestigious Bill & Melinda Gates grant in 2015."
