Just attended a great exhibition at the Cutler Plotkin Jewish Heritage Center in Phoenix of the Arizona Jewish Historical Society. The exhibition was about “Jewish Treasures of the Caribbean/The Beautiful Synagogues of the Caribbean”. A fascinating history of how Jews came to inhabit the islands.
Please note and imagine that most of the surviving synagogues of the Caribbean islands have beach sand flooring! Just amazing!
