What VDH is missing is that the days of Putin the Terrible are counted! We do not know who will become the next President of Russia, but worse than Putin the Terrible? There is a good chance that the Russian people will have had enough of Putin the Terrible's so called "special military operation", which has resulted in more than two years of war and possibly over 100,000 young male soldiers killed and many thousands more maimed for life!
The Russo-Ukrainian War is not a stalemate between dominant regional roughly equal powers like Verdun! This comparison is not convincing!
