It is a really bad addiction and a serious case of vanity by U.S. Presidents to declare as many national monuments during their term as possible!
The senile, demented, and corrupt 46th President just declared new national monuments of the size of about 1 million acres or more.
If this continues, the continental U.S. will be an almost contiguous national monument except for big cities. (Just kidding)
